Baden-Württemberg Center for Brazil and Latin America of the University of Tübingen

The Brazilian Center was established in 2000 after signing of an intergovernmental agreement between the federal states of Baden-Wuerttemberg and Rio Grande do Sul. The main aim of this agreement was to intensify scientific collaborations. The Brazilian Center coordinates these collaborations on behalf of the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts of Baden-Württemberg.

A further focus of the Brazilian Center lies in the organization of the German-Brazilian Symposium on Sustainable Development every 2 years, held alternately in both countries.
