Aware Center

Concerning our strategy on internationalization, Brazil has been one of the most important partner countries for over ten years now. The German-Brazilian strategic network AWARE (Applied Network on Automotive Research and Education) was funded in 2010 already and has meanwhile been expanded to an application center with Latin America, the AWARE Center. The Latin American network is establishing solid transfer structures between universities and industry partners.  Among the most important Brazilian network partners are the universities Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR), Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (PUCPR), Universidade de Campinas (Unicamp), Universidade de São Paulo (USP), Facens and Universidade de Brasília (UnB), companies such as Audi, BMW, Renault and Volvo as well as research institutes as Lactec and Certi. On this basis, we can offer our researchers, teaching staff and students a reliable infrastructure for international research, education and transfer, expanding currently to Argentina and Colombia. Our aim is to expand the network within Bavaria in the future and to support further universities for applied sciences in their efforts to establish cooperation with Latin America.
