Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI)
Founded in 1994, Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences (THI) is characterised not only by its practice-oriented teaching but also by its research strength and is one of the top research universities for applied sciences in Germany. The fields of expertise Innovative Mobility, New Energy Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Industry 4.0, Virtual Reality, Aeronautical Engineering and Sustainability are profile-defining.
Since 2023, THI has had two doctoral centres in the fields of artificial intelligence/computer science and engineering sciences with independent doctoral rights, which enables young scientists to do their doctorate directly at THI. Latin America, especially Brazil, has been one of the most important strategic partner regions for more than ten years. In 2020, the “AWARE” application centre was founded, which promotes and bundles all cooperation with Latin America in the areas of research, teaching and transfer. The THI has been an associated supporter of the DWIH São Paulo since 2020.
